Terms and Conditions. SelectPdf PDF Editor.

These terms are an agreement between you and Outside Software SRL, Bd. Dimitrie Cantemir, Nr. 5, Bl. 6, Sc. A, Et. 6, Ap. 24, Sector 4, Bucharest 040232, Romania, VAT ID RO16266620 ("SelectPdf", "we", "us"). They cover SelectPdf PDF Editor (the "App"). By installing or using the App, you accept them. If you accept on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you may bind it.

For the App, these terms take priority over our general Terms and Conditions and EULA, which cover our other products. Our PDF Editor Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled.

The App is licensed, not sold. We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use it under the plan you hold. All rights we don't expressly grant are ours. Your documents remain yours.

Prices are in US dollars. The seller named in section 5 calculates and collects taxes such as VAT at checkout where they apply. The current price is on our pricing page and at checkout. A price change doesn't affect what you have already paid for. We will tell subscribers before a new price applies to a renewal.

Free may be used without an end date, including for commercial work. Which features are Free and which are Pro is shown in the App by a star on Pro features.

Trial: one per device, started online. Reinstalling the App doesn't start a new one. When it ends, the App continues as Free, and your documents stay available.

Beta keys are given by us for testing, may end on the date we set, and come with no promise of any later licence. Beta versions may contain errors, so keep copies of important documents.

Each licence allows one active device per platform at a time: one Windows, one Mac, one Linux and one iOS device, all at once.

A licence bought in the App Store applies to that platform only, under Apple's terms.

You can move a licence to another device of the same platform from the App or from our offline page. Moves are limited to 5 per platform per year, and support can lift that limit. The previous device falls to Free at its next check, or at the latest when its lease ends.

A licence is for your own use, or for one person in your organization. You may not share a key with others.

The App checks its licence with our service periodically. If it can't connect, the licence continues until its lease ends: 7 days past the paid period for Monthly, 14 days for Yearly, 90 days from the last check for Perpetual, and up to 30 days for Beta. After that, the App acts as Free until a check succeeds.

A device without internet can activate through a code on our offline page. Its file lasts up to 365 days or until the paid or end date, whichever is first, and you can get a new one with a valid licence.

We will try to keep the licensing service available, but we don't guarantee it. If we permanently shut it down, we will provide a way for paying perpetual customers to keep using their licensed version.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, and your payment method is charged until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through the link in your receipt email or your Link account, or by emailing support@selectpdf.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Pro stays until the paid period ends. After that, the App is Free.

If a payment fails, Pro continues only through the period in section 4.

A perpetual licence and its renewal are one-time purchases, and we never charge them automatically.

The seller of purchases from our website is Sold through Link, LLC ("Link"), using Stripe Managed Payments, as the checkout and your receipt show. Link is the merchant of record: it takes your payment, handles tax, and issues receipts, and its own terms apply to the payment. Your right to use the App comes from these terms, with us. We remain responsible for the App itself. App Store purchases are billed and refunded by Apple.

14-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, email support@selectpdf.com within 14 days of your first purchase of a plan, or use Link support through your receipt, and you will get a full refund, without being asked why. Your licence key then stops working, and the App continues as Free. Renewals of a subscription after the first period are not covered, but you can cancel them at any time. This section replaces our general Refunds Policy for the App.

Consumers in the EU, EEA and UK have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason. The period starts on the day of purchase. To withdraw, tell us clearly by email to support@selectpdf.com, for example: "I withdraw from my purchase of SelectPdf PDF Editor, order [number], made on [date]." You will get back what you paid, using the same payment method, within 14 days of your message, at no cost to you. This right applies to each new purchase of a plan.

Nothing here limits refund or conformity rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer.

While your plan includes updates, you may install new versions, which the App offers automatically on direct downloads. A perpetual licence keeps working for ever with versions released during its update period. A later version started by hand runs as Free until you renew. On store builds, features released after your update period stay locked.

You may not:

• Bypass licensing or activation, or create or use unauthorized keys or activation files.
• Decompile or reverse engineer the App, except where the law allows it regardless of this term.
• Resell, rent or sublicense the App or a key without our written agreement.
• Use the App to break the law or to infringe others' rights, including removing document security you have no right to remove.

You are responsible for your documents and for checking the results, especially results where accuracy matters: redaction, security, digital signatures, conversions, OCR text, accessibility and standards (PDF/A, PDF/UA) checks. Check them before you rely on them, and keep backups. Automatic checks don't replace a professional review, and using a digital signature doesn't by itself guarantee its legal effect in your jurisdiction.

The App includes third-party components under their own licences, listed in the App under File > About > Third-party notices. Those licences apply to those components.

You may stop using the App at any time. We may end or suspend your licence if you materially break these terms, after telling you where reasonable. We may revoke keys obtained by fraud, chargeback or misuse. When a licence ends, you may keep using the App as Free unless we ended it for your breach.

To the extent the law allows, the App is provided "as is", without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or non-infringement. We don't promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. If you are a consumer, your legal guarantee of conformity still applies.

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim, or US$20 if you paid nothing.

This doesn't limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

Romanian law governs these terms, without its conflict-of-law rules and without removing mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Disputes go to the competent court in Bucharest, Romania, except that consumers may also use the courts of their own country where the law gives them that right.

We may change these terms. If a change meaningfully reduces your rights, we will tell you in the App or on our website before it applies. If you don't accept it, stop using the App and, for a subscription, cancel before it takes effect.

If part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force. You may not transfer these terms without our consent, and we may transfer them to a successor of the product's business. These terms are the full agreement about the App.
