PdfSignatureValidationResult Properties

The PdfSignatureValidationResult type exposes the following members.

Public propertyCertificateThe certificate that made the signature, or null when it cannot be read.
Public propertyCertificateChainThe certificates the signature carries, the signer's first.
Public propertyContactInfoThe contact information the signature gives, or null.
Public propertyCoversWholeDocument True when the signature covers the whole file. False when content was added after the signature - a later signature, a form fill, an added page - which leaves this signature intact but means the document as it is now is not exactly what was signed.
Public propertyIsDocumentModifiedTrue when the content the signature covers was changed after signing.
Public propertyIsTimeStampedTrue when the signature carries a time stamp and the time stamp is valid.
Public propertyIsTrusted True when the signer's certificate chains to a trusted root: one in the system's trusted store, or one of the certificates passed to ValidateSignatures(PdfDigitalCertificatesCollection).
Public propertyIsValid True when the signature matches the bytes it covers: it is cryptographically intact and the signed content has not been changed since.
Public propertyIsValidAtSigningTimeTrue when the signer's certificate was valid at the time the document was signed.
Public propertyIsValidNowTrue when the signer's certificate is valid now.
Public propertyLocationThe location the signature gives, or null.
Public propertyMessagesWhy any of the checks above failed or needs attention; empty when every check passed.
Public propertyReasonThe reason for signing the signature gives, or null.

Public propertySignerNameThe signer's name: the name the signature gives, or else the common name of its certificate.
Public propertySigningTime The signing time the signature declares, in local time, or null when it declares none. It is the signer's own claim; TimeStampTime is the one a time-stamp authority vouches for.
Public propertyStatusThe overall outcome of the checks below.
Public propertyTimeStampTimeThe time from the signature's time stamp, in local time, or null when it has none.
