Manage your API subscription. Powered by Stripe.
SelectPdf Online API plans — Entry through Dedicated — are billed monthly or annually by Stripe, our merchant of record. This page walks through the four self-service tasks you can do in the Stripe billing portal: view invoices, update your card, change plan, and cancel. The SelectPdf .NET PDF library is a perpetual one-time purchase — see library pricing for that track.
Four self-service tasks. All in the Stripe portal.
Every billing action below happens inside the Stripe billing portal. SelectPdf never sees your card data — Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified and handles the entire payment surface on our behalf.
Download every receipt
Every paid billing period — monthly or annual — produces a downloadable PDF invoice. Open the invoice history in the Stripe billing portal to download them whenever your finance team needs them.
Replace an expiring card
Add a new card in the portal, mark it as default, then optionally remove the old one. The next renewal charges the new card; in-flight authorisations on the old card complete normally.
Upgrade, downgrade, switch
Move between Entry, Standard, Advanced, Premium, Ultra and Dedicated, or flip between monthly and annual billing. Upgrades apply immediately and pro-rate; downgrades and billing-cycle changes apply at next renewal.
Stop future renewals
Cancellation stops the next renewal charge. Your API keys keep working until the end of the current paid period, then return HTTP 401. No data is deleted — re-subscribing reactivates the same keys.
One link from your email. Every task from there.
All four self-service tasks above live in the Stripe billing portal. There is no separate username or password — Stripe verifies you by email, so you reach the portal straight from any SelectPdf billing email.
- Open any SelectPdf payment receipt or renewal email (sent by Stripe /
support@selectpdf.com). - Click Manage your subscription (or Manage billing) in that email — it opens the Stripe billing portal for your subscription.
- From the portal home, jump to invoices, payment method, plan changes, or cancel.
- Can't find a billing email? See how to get the portal link resent below.
Search your inbox first. Then email us.
The portal link arrives in every Stripe receipt and renewal email. Most of the time it's already in your inbox — and because Stripe verifies by email, there's no password to lose.
Search for the receipt. Open your inbox and search for Stripe, support@selectpdf.com, or SelectPdf. Every receipt and renewal notice carries a Manage your subscription link to the Stripe billing portal.
Still stuck? Email sales@selectpdf.com from the address you used at purchase and we'll resend the billing-portal link — usually within one business day.
A merchant of record handles your billing surface.
Stripe is the merchant of record for every Online API subscription (via Stripe Managed Payments), so card processing, EU VAT collection, dunning on failed renewals, dispute handling, and PCI DSS Level 1 compliance run on their stack — not ours.
Online API plans only. The .NET PDF library is a perpetual one-time purchase — see library pricing for license tiers and maintenance plans. Library purchases also go through Stripe; your receipt email links to the matching invoice.
Where SelectPdf still holds data. Your API keys, conversion history, and subscription tier live in the SelectPdf account system. Stripe holds the card, the invoices, and the renewal schedule. The two systems sync on every successful renewal.
Upgrades pro-rate. Downgrades wait for renewal.
How Stripe handles each kind of plan change. Your existing API keys keep working through every transition — no re-issue, no integration change.
- Upgrades — applied immediately. Stripe pro-rates the difference against the time remaining in the current billing period and charges the card on file.
- Downgrades — applied at the next renewal. The current paid period runs to completion under your existing tier; the new (lower) tier takes effect on the renewal date.
- Switching monthly ↔ annual — same as a downgrade in mechanics: the change applies at next renewal. Annual plans cost the equivalent of 10 months — two months free vs monthly.
- Cancellation — stops the next renewal charge. The current paid period runs out under the existing tier; after that, every
/api2/endpoint returns HTTP 401.

Cancellation stops renewals. Refunds are case-by-case.
A cancellation in the Stripe portal stops the next renewal charge but does not retroactively refund the current paid period. Statutory rights and exceptions are documented separately.
- Default policy. SelectPdf does not accept routine refund requests — the API has a free 7-day trial with 200 conversions, no credit card. Full reasoning: refunds policy.
- EU 14-day cancellation right. EU consumers retain the statutory cooling-off right granted by EU law. The mechanism is documented in Terms & Conditions §7.1.
- How to request a refund. Email sales@selectpdf.com with your order number, the product purchased, and the reason. We aim to respond within five business days.
Talk to a human. We answer fast.
For anything the Stripe billing portal doesn't cover, the SelectPdf team handles billing questions directly. Two inboxes; pick whichever fits.

Billing & subscriptions, answered.
Common questions about the Stripe billing portal, SelectPdf API key lifecycle around billing events, and plan-change mechanics. Each answer leads with the verifiable fact so AI search engines can quote a single sentence.
Stripe or support@selectpdf.com — every receipt and renewal email carries a Manage your subscription link to the Stripe billing portal, which verifies you by email (no username or password). If you can't find any of those emails, write to sales@selectpdf.com from the address you bought with and we'll resend the portal link./api2/ endpoint. No data is deleted on cancellation — re-subscribing reactivates the same keys. If you want to retire the keys for security reasons, rotate them from your SelectPdf account area before the period ends.
