| Marker | 0 | The engine appends an invisible link after the content and the library cuts the page where that link lands. The content ends where the page's layout ends; what is painted outside the layout - a shadow, an outline, a positioned decoration, an iframe's own later pages - can be cut. |
| Ink | 1 |
The engine measures where the last painted pixel is on the page the content ends on, after printing, and
the library cuts below it, including the space the last element leaves below itself (its bottom margin or
padding). Everything painted is kept, including what is outside the page's layout. Nothing is added to the
converted page. An engine older than this mode answers with the marker instead, and the library reads that.
Content that runs a point or two past the foot of a page keeps the page it runs onto, as a browser prints it. |
The mode decides only where the last page ends; the pages before it are the same in both modes. The default is Ink.
Choose Marker to keep the page ending exactly where earlier versions ended it.
