GlobalPropertiesRenderingEngine Property

Gets or sets where the native engines run: on this machine (Chromium, the default) or by a remote SelectPdf engine, the selectpdf/engine container image (ChromiumRemote).

Remarks

This is the default for every converter whose own RenderingEngine property is not set (RenderingEngine and the other engine-driven types), read at each conversion, and the only setting the PDF tools follow.

Its initial value comes from the SELECTPDF_RENDERING_ENGINE environment variable (Chromium or ChromiumRemote) when it is set. On Alpine Linux and other musl-based systems the native engines cannot run on the machine, so set this to ChromiumRemote there.
